This session will answer the following questions, and help participants understand how they can partner with EPA On-Scene Coordinators in their Region to address both acute and legacy contamination in Indian Country: What does EPA’s Emergency Response Program do (and, what doesn’t it do)? What training and capacity building does EPA Emergency Response offer to tribal responders and environmental programs? How can tribes partner with EPA Emergency Response to address acute and legacy contamination in Indian Country? Case studies from Region 9, including the Navajo Contaminated Structures Program.
