The Big Pine Paiute Tribe has been successful in reducing its domestic water use through various water efficiency strategies which includes implementing a metered rate for customers, installing low flow toilets, providing water conservation education and improving the non-potable water system. By practicing multiple strategies for water efficiency, the Tribe was able to see a 68% drop in domestic water use over a 5 year period. This session will describe the various strategies employed by the Tribe.
