Joshua Simmons - Prosper Sustainably, Shasta Gaughen - Pala Band of Mission Indians
Many tribal environmental programs want to improve how they set and accomplish key goals. Common challenges include insufficient funding, lack of buy-in, constant crises, repetitive projects, etc. Strategic planning can overcome these challenges, transforming an environmental program into a proactive and highly valued community asset. Good strategic plans also provide a clear roadmap for accomplishing a tribe’s highest environmental priorities. In this session, the presenters will show how tribes can develop a successful strategic plan.
