BALLROOM 5

From Thursday, October 24 2019 at 11:25 pm until Friday, October 25 2019 at 12:25 am

Roger Gorke - EPA

Many tribes face profound risks to their water supplies. The draft National Water Reuse Action Plan (WRAP) released in September 2019 includes a proposed action to partner with tribes and the National Drought Resilience Partnership to identify strategies to support consideration of water reuse in tribal water supply and drought management planning. Mr. Gorke will summarize key action areas in the WRAP and lead a discussion with tribes about priority needs for assistance in evaluating and implementing wastewater recycling and stormwater capture as elements in ensuring safe and reliable future water supply. The goals are to raise awareness about water reuse potential and identify more specific areas of focus to better address tribal needs to consider and pursue reuse in tribal communities.
